NICOLE

I’m from sunny San Diego, Ca and I have cared for children for over 22 years. I always knew that it’s crucial for children to learn aquatic life-saving skills with such high exposure to pools and water. So, I was in search of the perfect career that would complement my desire to impact children’s lives.

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development with an emphasis in Children’s Services from Cal State San Marcos. It was then that I realized my child care experience and education would be the perfect blend for becoming a very successful swim teacher.

After college, I researched the best swim programs available and I became a Certified Swim Instructor in 2008. I obtained my Water Safety Instructor certificate in 2012. I’m CPR & first aid certified for adults, children, and infants. In addition, I have an advanced open-water scuba diving certification. I’m COVID vaccinated as well.

As a swim instructor, I’m able to provide children of all ages with priceless, life-saving skills and my career has been endlessly rewarding. Since becoming an instructor I have effectively taught thousands of children these amazing aquatic safety techniques. I also teach Adults and stroke lessons as well. In addition, I’m the head coach of a pre-competitive swim team.

KIM

I’m an avid swimmer, surfer, and ocean lover with a background in competitive swimming and water polo. Growing up, I was lucky enough to have family members who fostered my love of aquatics at a young age. Long summer days as a kid at my neighbourhood pool flowed into my first experiences learning to surf, joining my high school swim team, getting scuba dive certified at 14, becoming a lifeguard, and excelling at water polo even into college. I believe learning to be a strong swimmer is not only a gateway to meeting new friends and having fun new experiences in the water, but it also can give you the tools for a healthy and fulfilled life. I can’t wait to use my plentiful experience teaching all ages and levels of strokes swimming to help my students succeed!
